The ECC would like to recognize Mrs. Susie Sander on School Librarian Appreciation Day a day early on April 3, since we are not at school on April 4. She does so much more than just check out books. She orders books that we need. She fixes or replaces books when they get lost or torn. She is in charge of our AR program and helps keep it up and running and organizes the weekly awards as they are announced in the mornings. Mrs. Sander reads with students each week and learns about each student. She knows all kinds of things that our students like, what they love to read about, and what they are interested in, and she even orders books related to those topics so our students can learn more about those kinds of topics in our library. Sometimes she even figures out ways to get students interested in reading, even when they say they don't like to read, because she knows what they like and she can find a book just right for them. Mrs. Sander has arranged our library to make it student friendly, and is teaching our students all about how it works, how to check out books, and how it is organized. Most of all, Mrs. Sander loves our students. She is often seen in the hallways or the cafeteria giving or getting hugs. She is a central, integral part of our school, and we are lucky to have such a great lady to serve as our school librarian. If you see her around, be sure to tell her thank you or offer a high five or a hug. Thank you Mrs. Sander!

Happy School Librarians Appreciation Day-Official Day is April 4!
